Outdoor Hunting Straps for Tree Stands and Hunting Applications

When you are out in the woods on a hunt, the last thing you want to worry about is the straps that are holding up your tree stand. Tree stands are a hunterʼs way to get a height advantage over their prey and are an important part of hunting overall. That is why you should use Hunting Straps that can get the job done every time. These 1-inch Ratchet Straps have become the hunterʼs choice for tree stand securement and for good reason. They are a quick, quiet, and easy way to secure your stand out in the woods. This also allows the hunter to move freely from tree to tree without worrying about screws or bolts holding the stand to the tree.

One thing that hunters deal with within tree stands is a lack of space. With all the gear that hunters typically bring on a hunt, the stand is often crowded and cramped with stuff that could get in the way of a possible kill. If you have this problem, tidy up your stand right away with our Treestand Accessory Hook! These small metal hooks are secured to the tree with a Cam Buckle Strap so they can be easily maneuvered to your desired position. These hooks are a great place to hang your bow while you search through your bag and they have a Working Load Limit of 300 pounds so they can easily bear the weight of a heavy backpack. Treestand Accessory Hooks are a must-have for all serious hunters.

Our Hunting Straps are available in a variety of colors but Camo Ratchet Straps is by far our most popular color followed by Olive Drab. The Hunting Straps come in with two different kinds of tension devices. The first is a traditional Ratchet. The ratchet strap has an assembly Working Load Limit of 500 pounds and is made from rigid polyester material that does not stretch or flex at all.

We also have heavy-duty variations of the Hunting Ratchet Straps that have stronger Working Load Limits of 833 and 1,100 pounds respectively. The second option is a Cam Buckle Strap. The Cam Buckle Strap also has a Working Load Limit of 500 pounds and is made from the same material as the Ratchet Strap. Some people prefer the Cam Buckle Strap because it is considered easier to work with but the added strength is that the Ratchet Strap offer is also a great feature.

Frequently Asked Hunting Ratchet Strap Questions

What is the Hunting Ratchet Straps Webbing made out of? – Our webbing is made from high-grade polyester tie-down webbing that provides great amounts of strength with a small amount of stretching. This helps keep your tree stands safe year-round or during the hunting seasons that you need.

How long do these Hunting Straps last? – These straps can usually vary depending on the amount of wear and tear over time. Typically you can expect these straps to last several seasons under normal conditions without any issues. We have had a lot of feedback from our customers about these straps lasting longer than 5 years but we always encourage everyone to inspect their straps every few weeks to make sure there are not any burns, cuts, tears, or issues with the straps just to be on the safe side. It’s better to spend a minute double-checking than potentially be at risk of injury.

How Many Hunting Straps Do You Need for a Tree Stand? – We have heard of our customers using one strap and being perfectly okay, but we strongly urge all of our customers to use at a minimum two or three straps. Doing so provides you with a safety net in case things were to go wrong you would still remain safe. Another benefit of doing such is reducing movement in the wind by having more straps in different areas in the tree stand.

Can you use Hunting Straps to Secure Trail Cameras? – Yes! In fact, we have several of our team members here at RatchetStrapsUSA who love the quality of the straps that we use during our hunting adventures. A few of us in our offices have used our straps for upwards of 4 years now during the hunting seasons and have never had an issue with the straps losing webbing or hardware quality. We strongly urge no matter if you are using the straps to secure a hunting trail camera or to use in a treestand to always get into the habit of inspecting your straps before and after every use. This helps to keep you and your hunting equipment safer

How Do you inspect your Hunting Straps? – The best way to inspect hunting straps is by overlooking the tie-down webbing for any potential defects, debris, or signs of webbing fraying, potential burn marks in the webbing, or any signs of hardware failure. This should always be done before and after every hunting application used as a good rule of thumb to keep you safe when safety and effectiveness are critical to making a hunt. As they say, a safe hunt is always a good hunt.

Can you Leave Hunting Straps Outside Year Around? – We strongly urge our customers to take down the tie-down straps when they are not in hunting season as it helps to make your straps last longer as well as ensures you during the next hunting season that your straps are still safe to use after a quick inspection. When customers leave straps up in treestands especially year around you can never be so sure that the straps are still safe to use until it’s too late in most circumstances which is why we recommend never leaving the straps up year-around.
